Questions we get asked

Before you enquire.

How quickly will we see results?

Most clients see a clear lift in reach and engagement within the first month, because we launch with a strategy rather than just posting. Commercial results — bookings, footfall, sales — build over the first 2–3 months as the content engine gets going. We report on real numbers from day one, so you’ll always know exactly what’s happening.

Do we have to be on camera?

No. Plenty of our best-performing content never shows an owner’s face — product close-ups, behind-the-counter moments, POV-style videos and UGC creators all work brilliantly. If you are happy on camera, we’ll use it, but it’s never a requirement.

What does a typical month look like?

A weekly 2-hour filming session at your venue, a monthly content plan agreed in advance, consistent posting across TikTok and Instagram, community management, and a performance report at the end of the month. You approve everything before it goes live.

Are we locked into a long contract?

We work on a 3-month minimum contract. Social media takes a little time to compound — the first month is strategy and momentum, and the results build from there. After the initial 3 months we continue month to month, and most of our clients stay long-term by choice.

What if we can’t afford full management yet?

That’s exactly what the shop is for — the same calendars, strategy frameworks and reel formulas we use with clients, packaged so you can run it yourself. Many DIY customers come back for full management once it pays for itself.

Trends · Week of 11 June 2026

TikTok & Instagram trends this week — 11 June 2026

Quick one this week, because the trends are moving fast and most of them won’t wait for you to overthink it. Here’s what’s dominating TikTok and Reels right now — and how a Glasgow café, restaurant or retail brand can actually use it.

The World Cup just ate the FYP

The tournament kicked off on 11 June and fan-zone content is about to flood every feed for the next six weeks. You don’t need to be a sports bar to ride this — match-day specials, “where Glasgow is watching” content, big-screen setups, even a themed drink gets you into the conversation. If you’re hospitality and you’re not planning World Cup content right now, you’re leaving reach on the table.

The glitch edit

Charli XCX’s “Rock Music” has a deliberate stuck-frame moment mid-track, and creators have turned it into a whole format — the video freezes and stutters on the glitch, then snaps into the reveal. It’s perfect for transformations: the dish being plated, the shop display coming together, the before-and-after. Quick to film, very satisfying to watch.

Short, loud, unserious summer audios

The “Like a Prayer” summer remix is powering seven-second lip-syncs, and chaotic-energy audios are spiking — the “I need to tell someone RIGHT NOW” format works brilliantly for announcements. New menu item, restock, weekend opening: make the product the reason for the excitement and keep it under ten seconds.

Nostalgia is peaking

Toy Story 5 lands 19 June and childhood-to-adulthood content is already building. Anything “the order you’ve been getting since you were wee” or throwback-themed sits naturally in this wave.

The throughline this month: fast, summery, and not taking itself too seriously. Polished and slow is losing; quick and human is winning. Film it on your phone and post it this week, not next month.

Instagram updates — June 2026: grid reordering is finally here

Big week for Instagram. Here’s what actually changed, minus the noise — and what it means if you run a business account.

You can rearrange your grid

Announced on 8 June: posts no longer have to sit in chronological order. You can now reorder your profile grid — pull your best work to the top, lead with your strongest dishes or products, refresh the whole aesthetic without deleting anything. For businesses this is huge: your grid is your shop window, and you finally get to dress it. Put your best-performing content and clearest “what we do” posts in the top nine.

Trial Reels has rolled out globally

You can now test a Reel on non-followers first, see how it performs, then push it to everyone if it lands. Translation: you can experiment without worrying about cluttering your feed or confusing your regulars. Use it to test new hooks and formats risk-free.

Shares and DMs > likes

Instagram has been clear about its 2026 direction: shares, DMs and recommendations now carry far more weight than likes, originality gets rewarded, and profiles — not individual posts — send the trust signals. Make content people want to send to a friend (“we need to go here” is the single best comment a Glasgow restaurant can get) and post consistently rather than chasing one perfect post.

Smaller but useful

A royalty-free music section for Reels (no more copyright anxiety on business accounts), a WhatsApp link option on profiles — genuinely handy for taking bookings and enquiries — new fonts for Reels and Stories arriving end of June, and a test letting you caption each image in a carousel individually.

If you only do one thing this week: reorder your grid. It takes twenty minutes and it’s the closest thing to a free shopfront refit Instagram has ever given you.

Why your café’s TikTok isn’t converting — and what to fix first

We hear the same thing in almost every discovery call: “we get decent views, but it’s not bringing people in.” Views without footfall is the most common problem in hospitality social media — and it’s nearly always one of three things.

1. Your content has no location signal

A viral video means nothing if the people watching are in Manchester. The algorithm decides who sees your content partly from what’s in it — so your captions, on-screen text and even what you say out loud should name your area constantly. “The thickest hot chocolate in Glasgow” outperformed a generic version of the same video for one of our clients precisely because Glasgow was in the hook.

2. There’s no next step

Someone watches, likes, scrolls on. If your bio doesn’t have your location, opening hours and a one-tap way to find you, you’re leaking customers at the last second. We treat the bio as the till — everything in the video drives people there, and everything there should make visiting effortless.

3. You’re posting content, not campaigns

Random nice videos build vibes. Campaigns build queues. A campaign has a date, a reason to come now and a run of posts building to it — a new menu item, a holiday special, a one-weekend-only thing. Every sold-out launch we’ve run followed that structure.

Social media marketing is not about posting content. It’s about posting content that generates leads and builds a community.

If you fix those three before touching anything else — posting times, hashtags, editing style — you’ll usually see the difference within a month.

Want us to audit your account?

The hook method: what the first three seconds decide

Retention graphs on TikTok and Reels all look the same: a cliff in the first three seconds, then a slope. Whoever survives the cliff gets shown to more people. That’s the whole game — which means the hook isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s most of the work.

What a hook actually is

A hook is a reason to keep watching that lands before the viewer’s thumb does. It can be visual (something already mid-action), spoken (“I found Glasgow’s best…”), or written on screen — ideally all three at once, saying slightly different things.

Hooks that consistently work for food brands

  • The superlative: “the THICKEST hot chocolate in Glasgow” — bold claims get watched to be verified.
  • The POV: drop the viewer into the experience, not a description of it.
  • The countdown: “back on Wednesday” — scarcity is a hook in itself.
  • The reveal: start at the most satisfying frame, then show how you got there.

The mistake almost everyone makes

Starting with a logo, an establishing shot of the shopfront, or “hi guys, welcome back.” Those are endings dressed as openings. Cut your video, watch only the first three seconds, and ask honestly: would a stranger keep watching? If not, the rest doesn’t matter.

How Meltdown hit 1.4M views from a standing start

Meltdown opens until they sell out. No walk-past trade to rely on, no ad budget for launch — every single sale had to come through social. Here’s what we actually did.

We launched a story, not an account

Before the first opening, the content built one simple narrative: something new is coming, it sells out, you need to be early. That gave every post a job — building tension toward a date — instead of just existing.

We made scarcity the format

“Back on Wednesday… if you don’t know what to choose we can surprise you” did 1.4M views and 901K accounts reached — 98% of them non-followers. The post worked because the scarcity was real: when it’s gone, it’s gone. The audience learned that fast, and shares (358 on that post alone) did the rest of the marketing for us.

We posted like a person, not a brand

Lo-fi, behind-the-counter, reactive. The comments became part of the content — replying to “where is this??” with a video is worth more than any planned post, because the algorithm reads conversation as relevance.

901,343 accounts reached — a 12,997% increase — with zero ad spend.

The result is a brand that now sells out every single time it opens. The lesson isn’t “go viral” — it’s that a launch with a story, real scarcity and a human voice doesn’t need a budget to work.

UGC vs influencer content: which one your business actually needs

These two get used interchangeably and they shouldn’t be — they do different jobs, cost different amounts and get measured differently.

UGC is content, not reach

With UGC, you’re paying a creator to make something that looks like a real customer filmed it — and you post it on your own channels (or run it as an ad). You’re buying authenticity and volume. The creator’s follower count is irrelevant; what matters is whether the content converts.

Influencer content is reach, not assets

With an influencer collab, the post lives on their account and you’re buying access to their audience. It’s great for awareness moments — a launch, an opening, a pop-up — but you usually don’t own the content afterwards unless you negotiate it.

What we’d run, by business type

  • New café or restaurant: UGC first. You need a steady stream of authentic content showing real people in your space — that’s what convinces locals to try you.
  • Established spot launching something: both. UGC for the build-up, a local creator collab for the launch-day reach spike.
  • Retail or product brand: UGC heavily — it doubles as ad creative, which is where product brands win or lose.

One rule either way: brief the creator on the outcome, not the script. The moment UGC sounds written, it stops working.
